Sometimes people are afraid that they are gay.
Sometimes people will perform rituals if they see someone of the same sex and have a sexual thought.
There are two types of thoughts here. One where the person does not want these thoughts and one where they do.
What you need to realize is that homosexuality and OCD are really not related unless you make it related.
If you perform rituals because you are homophobic then you have OCD. You may have unwanted gay thoughts. You need to stop performing rituals. You need to stop trying to get rid of these thoughts. Instead, you need to ask yourself this question. "Am I gay?"
I allowed myself to think this thought and after really allowing myself to think about it, I realized that I was straight. I didn't have to do anything with a guy to know. I just allowed myself to think about it and I realized that I simply was not attracted to men.
You've got to allow yourself to think about it, otherwise, you'll always be fearful of it. There is a great peace in knowing.
I, myself don't believe in homosexuality, but I know people who are gay and they are nice people. Even though I don't personally believe in the lifestyle, I still love the people just like Jesus does and they are welcome in my church and everywhere as far as I am concerned and should have the same rights as everyone else, not extra rights, but the same ones.
This way you know where I am coming from on this subject.
Take action: If you are fearful that you are gay or are having unwanted gay thoughts, ask yourself the question, "Am I gay?" Then really think about it. You don't have to do anything with the same sex to know, just allowing yourself to ask yourself the question is quite enough to know. Be honest with yourself and you will know.
